One of the first people I met when I came to town, she welcomed us like we were old friends. I will never forget her. Thoughts and prayers to Sam and Sue & Sally and Dave.

Becky, Sam and Sally, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Losing your mother is difficult, but memories will be your strength.

Fond memories of Arlene and all the Johnson Family. I can still picture "Grand-pa" at the register. I am glad to still see the name on the building, but miss the homemade fare.....and real ice cream. She had a full life, now at rest.

I always called Arlene the Dick Clark of Northwood because she never aged and I think I just never noticed her physical age because her spirituality made her so young and active. I thought of Arlene whenever I thought of the song "They will know we are Christians by our Love" because Arlene never preached her religion or beliefs she simply was a Christian in her actions. She will be missed by anyone who ever meet her.

Arlene was a patriot to her Lord, country, family, friends, neighbors and community. She was a terrific role model with her ambition, energy, thoughtful, kind and caring personality. A lovely lady who is all ready missed.

Arlene was a wonderful teacher, employer, and friend. From childhood memories of ice cream cones on hot summer nights to my first job at Johnson's Dairy Bar, and all her many kindnesses through the years, I dearly loved her. My deepest condolences to the Johnson family. May God bless you all.
