Dorothy Louise Henderson Desfosses peacefully left us shortly after celebrating her 90th birthday, surrounded by family and friends.

Born June 26th 1927 in NY to Blanche and Raymond Henderson. Raised in Danvers, MA; a 1945 graduate of Holten High School. Married October 27, 1946 to Raymond A. Desfosses, the couple built their forever home in Goffstown, NH 10 years later.

Lovingly known to all as Dot, Ma and Mami, she is survived by three children, Daniel Desfosses of Fogelsville, PA, Gary Desfosses and wife Pat of Bedford, and Celeste Berube Matras of Goffstown; six grandchildren, Chanti Berube Labrecque and husband Christian of Dunbarton, Rob Berube and wife Tracy of Bow, Krysti Matras Battistelli and husband Jason of Seabrook, Nicholas Matras of Goffstown, Peter Desfosses of Somersworth, and David Desfosses of Bedford; four great grandchildren, Falon, Aidan, Cyrus and Willow; sister, Joan Turcotte of Danvers, MA; and sister-in-law, Claire Desfosses Thomas of Manchester. Dot was predeceased by her husband Ray in 2003; son, Leslie; four sisters, Frances, Sybil, Elaine, Margaret; and brother, James.

Dot worked at Bartlett Elementary School and St. Anselm College for more than 20 years. She enjoyed travelling to historic places like Rome, France and Canada. Dot bowled for years, sewed and was an active member of St. Edmunds/Parish of the Transfiguration. After her retirement she volunteered as a Caregiver and spent her days enjoying her loving family and friends.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her Visitation will be held in the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, on Monday, July 17 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 5:00 to 7:00. Her Funeral Mass will be Celebrated in the Parish of the Transfiguration, 107 Alsace St., Manchester, on Tuesday, July 18 at 9:00A.M. Entombment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
