Dear Celeste and all your Family~~ It was with deep sorrow I learned only this morning (August 12) of Dot's journey home. I've lost a very dear friend of many years and shall miss the all too brief visits we've been able to have in the past several years. We never failed to say goodby without "I love you". She was fun - she was sassy - she was courageous! Heaven was happy to welcome her home.

My sincerest condolences to Dot's family. You are all in my prayers. Such a fun sweet lady, one whom I admired greatly for her spunk and commitment to her faith and family. I have fond memories of spending time with her at the camp and family functions. One of my best is when I confessed to her that she was such a great grandmother that as a child I had been envious of her grandchildren. She kindly told me I could call her Mamie too! I gladly accepted and we joked that I had "adopted" her. What a blessing she was!
She loved well and was well loved. The true measure of a life well lived.

With Dot's passing there is now a new bright star in the sky. You have left this world having given
me great memorable moments shared in person, on the phone, or when we would go out to eat.
You will not be forgotten . . . .good-bye, my dear friend
