I was saddened to hear of Michael's passing. I met Michael when I was seven. He was the new kid from Canada with his green wooden sled. Over the years, we both grew up, and I have many memories of him, saving me from the Witch of the Woods at Blueberry Hill, who was enticing me inside with a promise of red shoes. Playing baseball with the-in my mind-Big Boys, which included both Stanley and Michael. Michael and his family became a fixture in our little town, and I am sorry he has left us. He was a good young man, and it sounds as if he remained that way to the end of his life. Condolences to his family. Laura Thompson
