Fritz Erick Forsberg died peacefully at home on August 6th, 2020, 12 days before his 101st birthday. Eleanor M. (Sieverding) Forsberg, age 96, his wife of 73 years was holding his hand, and he was surrounded by the presence, songs and prayers of his daughter, Rita Dawn (Forsberg) Love, Gerald "Jerry" Albert Love, and his seven, cherished grandchildren and their families.

Fritz Forsberg was born in Bredaker, Sweden on August 18, 1919 to Franz Valfred "Fred" and Hilma (Juhlin) Forsberg. In 1926, their family, including sister Alice (Smith) and brother Everett, immigrated to America. In the mid-1930s, they moved to Pinehurst, Idaho, where Fritz had a wonderful home, family and life.

Fritz is honored as a veteran of World War II, where he served in the US Army Air Corps from 1941 to 1945. Having met and courted his beautiful bride while on furlough, Fritz and Eleanor were married on February 4th, 1946. They were blessed with a daughter, Rita, and foster children. Fritz and Eleanor together built 7 homes in the Silver Valley, residing in the last for over 60 years. Fritz was a carpenter and machinist by trade, working with talent and distinction until his retirement in 1992. In 2017, Fritz and Eleanor were welcomed into the Wentworth, New Hampshire, home of Rita and Jerry, where they have enjoyed three years of health, care, and the boundless love of their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Fritz's family mourn his passing and celebrate his entry into the eternal home of Jesus.
