Obituary

Stanislava "Lydia" Riley, 91, of Manchester, died on September 9, 2017. She was born in Yugoslavia on May 11, 1926, and came to the United States in July of 1946, becoming a citizen on April 23, 1951.

Lydia was very active in the local community throughout her life. She was a volunteer with the VA Medical Center for many years, an American Legion Auxillary Member of Unit #54 for over 50 years, a member of the World War Mothers of Manchester, a member of the Ladies' Auxillary Forty and Eight for 46 years, and a member of the Bedford Snow Owls Snowmobile Club for many years.

She leaves behind her children, son William Ingersoll of Naples, FL; daughter Marilyn Riley-White and her husband Kenneth, of Weare, NH; granddaughter Shauna L. Flanders of Weare, NH; great-grandson Brayden Riley Flanders; her companion of 37 years, Joe Cauette of Rollinsford, NH; her sister, Mihaela Hvala of Cerkno, Slovenjia; as well as extended family members and many friends.

Her visitation will take place from 4-8pm on Wednesday, September 13 at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Thursday, September 14 at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Road, Bedford, NH. She will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery, alongside her late husband, David J. Riley, Sr.
